Last Sunday we celebrated Tara and Liam (who will join us in February).  The hostesses chose Coal Vines as the venue and I wasn't exactly crying about it.

The poor server in charge of mimosas could not come up for air.  He would finish a round only to start at the beginning again. In his defense, Boo drinks mimosas as if they were water after a long run ok.

I can't wait to have another puffin to love on/blog about (sue me) at the beginning of the year!

Once we got the tree up and the tooth chipped last week, things kind of halted.  Since then, we have gone from this sad corner...

To this:

Ahhhhh much better.  I blasted our home with holiday cheer and then watched American Horror Story last week...those go together right??

I even kept my elf shoes on long enough to wrap some gifts.

In other news, this week marks WEDDING week...yes ok...its here...and its supposed to rain...I can't. If everyone could just send some non rain vibes toward Dripping Springs, TX that would be amazing.

The other day when I woke up with a cold, I was feeling all "ugh why now??? right before the wedding???" It's so cute to look back at how I thought that was a big deal...until I chipped my front tooth Monday night. YES ok.

It all started when I begged Parnell to get all of our Christmas decorations down to begin the process that is putting up and decorating the tree. He obliged (charity) even though he is like Mr. not before Thanksgiving... #scrooge.  I wasted no time and got to work like a little elf with a deadline ok.  Things were moving along beautifully and it was time to add our "branches" to the top of the tree.  I'm sure I am about to offend all 10 of my readers, BUT, I just feel like angels are out.  I prefer a mix of branches/twigs/some shiny/some not at the top of our tree.  You be you and I'll be me.

I stood on a chair to strategically place said branches at the top of the tree.  I placed one while holding the other in my mouth (REALLY didn't want to have step down and then back up ok).  Upon removal of the one in my mouth, I yelled over to P that part of the branch had gotten stuck in my teeth... "ewww...oh wait...WAIT...that was my tooth..."

I ran to the mirror, NOT showing Parnell and proceeded to google my dentist's phone number and leave a message.  I may have dropped that "wedding" bomb like oh I don't know...3 times?? In a 20 second message?

I got to work the next morning and stalked the dentist office...surely my favorite little peach Rosemary got there early and heard the phone ringing... "Hello?"

Rosemary worked her magic and got me in at noon yesterday.  My dentist patched me up and sent me on my merry way...after scolding me regarding my coffee stains and then removing of.

Crisis averted...for now.

We managed to get out after my work event last night to try Stampeded 66.  You literally can't move in that joint without walking into a carb.  I was in my own carbless diet hell ok.

We ordered the deviled eggs's all I could eat.  They ended up being delightful.  They are sprinkled with jalapeno pop #callme.

P got the chicken fried steak...SHOCKER...and I settled on the pot roast minus the goat cheese potatoes which, let's face it, sounded like the coolest part of the entire entree.

Please note, I did not post a picture of my meal because pot roast in a dim lit restaurant and no flash looks...well...terrible.

Today is a very special day's this guy's birthday!

This past weekend we headed to Fort Worth to attend church with Mitchell and Laura.  During the sermon, Parnell looked at me and asked "Am I going to be 31 or 32 next week?"  I gave him the "DUH" face and replied "pfffff 31...ok...right???"

After many whispers and some quick math by Mitchell, we concluded that P is in fact 32 today.  We still have not verified this with his parents but we are feeling pretty confident.

I can't make this up.

Happy 32nd(ish) birthday to this cat/the future hubs. I wish you many burgers with no cheese and trips to Academy Sports.

I took a half day this past Friday to go get a marriage license with Parnell.  After raising our right hand and promising that we were not currently married to someone else or related to each other...BOOM.  DONE. I have always heard it is pretty easy to get married and pretty difficult to get divorced. Noted. We decided to try to wrap up our remaining wedding errands (picking up rings and such) with the remainder of our evening.  I tried to tell P that I was getting sick only to receive a "really??? you are exaggerating" face.  By the time we met P's family for dinner I felt full blown ill.

Normally this would be fine...I mean getting sick is like not something new for me. However, I am getting married in two weeks (better now than then???) and Saturday was my last shower before the big day.

I woke up feeling like a zombie wreck Saturday morning...but I will say...there is not much good company and a mimosa can't fix.

Little nugget Luke joined us...not sad about it.

Two of my fabulous hostesses! Thank you Linds and Boo!

Last night we made our way to a Sunday favorite, Fernandos, on a Wednesday. Please note they have now limited their Sunday drink specials to a maximum of 5 drinks...Fernando is figuring us out ok. It all evens out because last night another special was featured...half priced wine bottles...don't mind if we do.

The birthday girl had a fabulous turn out and "more gifts than Christmas morning."

It was such a good time aside from the fact that I have attempted to give up carbs until the wedding day...CHIPS.WERE.EVERYWHERE.

Welcome to 29 Boo!
