I hope everyone had a lovely weekend!  Ours was pretty lazy...
I did however, manage to squeeze this in:

Parnell was less than thrilled (he is an after Thanksgiving guy) and Mercer was zero help.

I had all these hopes and dreams of completely redoing our tree this year with a new look and then I got lazy and super over the thought and stuck up the same ole gear...maybe next year...

Kayla and Mitch also hosted us for a joint birthday celebration for P and myself.  This was Mercer's face when I told her Kayla was cooking:

I kid...I kid...dinner was delicious!  They topped it off with a Baskin Robbins ice cream that didn't exactly hurt.

I these people need their own baby stat or what?

Lenny needs a sibling...

I am so excited to share that I was able to meet baby Reed this week after work.  The girls carpooled to Oklahoma Frisco to meet the newest addition to the McEnery clan and let me tell you...he was precious and worth every minute bumper to bumper on the tollway.

I went home and put my 11 pound muffin to bed and she felt ginormous...sigh...

Mercer Kelly is two months old!
We have her doctors appointment in a few days to check her stats but she seems to be filling out her clothes more than she there is that super professional assessment of her weight gain.

This month I returned to work and Mercer starts daycare.  Those who talk to me on a regular basis know that the hunt for childcare in Dallas began back in April and has been nothing short of depressing and stressful.  I didn't work this hard to get into seriously. When we finally got the phone call from a top choice it was like angels singing.

Happy two months to this little peach!

Oh October-you are hands down one of my favorites.
It is so absolutely true when everyone tells you holidays are much more fun with children.  When we were given our due date of early September, one of the first things I said to Parnell was "I am so excited she will be here for the holidays."

Take a look at some of our snaps from pre Halloween festivities and the actual night of. Note:  Mercer was not a fan of having four extra appendages.

The Itsy Bitsy Spider was not having it.
We had a blast at the Platts home sans our spider costume for the majority of the evening.

The following morning, Mercer attended church for the first time and I got my first red Starbucks cup of the season en route.  Ahhhhhh are fabulous!
