A little while back, while we were roaming the halls of IKEA, we ran into our friends.  After letting the littles have a full on play date in the children's section, we swapped information on our upcoming hacks. The Shackelford's were there after coming across this learning tower hack, which they so kindly shared with us.  After they attempted it later that afternoon and gave the thumbs up, I knew this was going to be Parnell's next project. Mercer is constantly in the kitchen and prefers to be on my hip so she can see the action.  This seemed like a must have in our household.

Learning towers were already on my radar, however, they all seemed so bulky and definitely more money than I was willing to spend for something that Mercer may very well hate. While this hack does not fold away like the towers you can purchase online, it is much more compact and I don't feel it needs to be stored while not in use. At a cost of $40(ish) we were sold.

I won't go into to too much detail because Happy Grey Lucky lays that out perfectly if you follow the link provided. I will however, leave you with photos from start to finish.

After some wood putty and sanding, she was ready for you guessed it...white. Side note, this stool does come in white but it was sold out the day we were shopping so we purchased birch.

So far, it has been an absolute hit!
