We kicked off Easter celebrations this year with an egg hunt at Mercer's school with her sweet class.  My mom and dad tagged along for the afternoon.  My mom showed Mercer how to find the eggs and place them in her basket.  Within 30 seconds, the child had become a full fledged hoarder

Please note, she had a cute spring outfit on before she had a situation in her diaper.  Hence the heart backup outfit...

The following day, we took our egg hunting/hoarder professional to my aunts house for a family egg hunt.

Sunday, we headed to a wonderful Easter service at church followed by arriving to brunch 1 hour early.  Yes, ONE HOUR.
Let me explain.

I completely read my aunts text incorrectly and never went back to confirm timing for the day.  I knocked on her door and she came to pajamas...because she wasn't supposed to have guests for another hour and ten minutes. I guess I was eager to celebrate?

I hope everyone had wonderful celebrations with their loved ones.

"He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.  Come and see the place where he lay."
Matthew 28:6

Last weekend, Sara hosted a girls dinner to celebrate her birthday.  Per usual, everything was beyond beautiful and I cried a little inside when I had to leave her house and return to mine.

Mercer had a supervised date with Connor last week. They are no longer in the same class so it is important they make time for one another outside of school (I'm kidding, I think).  I'm just not sure there is anything cuter than children hugging each still my heart.

Queso and young love, the perfect evening.
